Every event has different requirements and it is not always possible to use all the recommended tools from our Serious Games Software for an emotional award ceremony.
In addition, the process varies depending on the type of event. Whether it is a team event or open application, cooperative or competitive games – all of this influences the event finish.
To ensure that your event remains unforgettable, here are some practical recommendations to help you on your way.
Recommendation 1 – Use the full potential: the event finish will be remembered #
The last impression counts! No matter what options are available to you on site, make the closing as impressive as possible:
- Use existing presentation techniques – If you have a projector, screen or other presentation media, incorporate them into the closing.
- Small but effective alternatives – If you don’t have these tools, present the content on a small scale, e.g. directly on the participants’ devices. The event gallery and review can easily be shared via a link or QR code or integrated into tasks.
Recommendation 2 – Get in the mood for the closing together #
Start your finish with a gallery of event pictures and videos. This creates a connection between the teams and creates a relaxed, positive atmosphere:
- Welcome back – Show pictures and videos that show the event and the teams in action. This also allows participants to see how the other teams performed.
- Emotions and laughs – Funny snapshots and videos put everyone in a good mood, create conversation and lighten the atmosphere.
- Shared anticipation – The pictures arouse curiosity about the award ceremony and bring all the teams into the moment.
Recommendation 3 – The crowning glory: honoring the winners #
A worthy award ceremony is the emotional highlight of your event. Here are some tips on how you can make this moment extra special:
- Hide the high score in advance – If possible, switch off the visibility of the high score in the middle of the event. This keeps the excitement going until the end.
- Use the event review – The animated event review is an ideal tool to showcase the course of the event once again. Please note that this feature is only available in the Professional Event and ideally requires presentation technology such as a projector or screen. You decide whether to start the review after the announcement or before the winner is announced. Either way, the review provides emotional highlights and an exciting finish.
