Step 1 - Create event #

Create your first event quickly and easily. You can see how to do this in the video.

In short:

  1. Assign an event title
  2. Set the event coordinate
  3. Save event

Step 2 - Event configuration #

If you are creating a new event, the event configuration opens automatically when you save step 1.

The event configuration can be overwhelming at first due to the many setting options. We therefore recommend that you skip it for the time being and leave the settings as they are.

However, you are also welcome to let off steam. You can find the relevant information here!

Step 3 - Create tasks #

You can create your first tasks quickly and easily using the tabspot widget in the event dashboard! You can choose between info spots, quests and voting tasks.

Do you have problems and questions about the Tabspot form and the Tabspot settings? Then you can find more information here!

Step 4 - Open and test event in app #

We recommend starting the event directly by creating the first tasks in our Serious Games Scavenger Hunt App. This way, you can see how it looks and make any necessary adjustments quickly while you are creating further tasks.

The best way to do this is as follows:

  1. Log in to our native Scavenger Hunt App with your event manager account (your login for the online editor).
  2. Open the general event QR code in the backend (see video)
  3. Scan the event QR code after the app login either outside the app, in the easy event selection of the app or in the event list of the app.

The app should now open your event. When creating further tasks, you must always update the waypoint list in the app.

For more information click here! Especially when you are planning to play your event in the Web App instead of our native  Scavenger Hunt App!

Step 5 - Reset test #

If you are already playing around with your event in the app, then it makes sense to reset it from time to time.

You can reset the event completely (see video above) or only reset individual solution trials (see video below).

After resetting in the online editor, you must refresh the app waypoint list or restart the scavenger hunt app.
