As you know, you have to set a start and end time for your event. This defines whether your event is in test mode, live mode or finish mode.
With the “Individual countdown”, you have the option of limiting the playing time for each team within live mode once again or controlling it even more precisely.
This is particularly helpful if teams start at different times, for example.
This function is also useful for longer events, open applications or escape games, as you can assign each team a fixed playing time – for example 90 minutes – within a slightly longer event time.
Another advantage of the individual countdown can also be seen when using global groups in our storytelling tool, as it makes it much easier to control time-dependent actions.
If the time triggers for groups in the storytelling tool are based on the event time, there can be problems if teams start at different times or even play on completely different days for open games. Linked to a countdown, it doesn’t matter when the teams start because the time triggers are based on the playing time of the countdown.
You can define the individual countdown in the event configuration.
A very special feature: you can only start the individual countdown once you have completed a certain number of tasks. This is how you can integrate onboarding tasks into your game
