Translate your tabspots – how it works #
You can easily create different translations for your event and your tabspots. To ensure that your translations work smoothly, take a look at the multilingualism tips beforehand: How to add an event translation?
Step-by-step instructions for task translation #
1. Open the “Tabspots” widget in the event dashboard to edit your tabspots.
2. Edit the tabspot for which you want to add a translation.
3. In the tabspot editor, you will find the option to add a translation to the right of the form.
4. Select the desired language and an additional form will appear where you can translate the tabspot.
5. After you have entered the translation, switch back to the default language to save the changes.
Tips #
1. The better your translations, the more inclusive and enjoyable the gaming experience will be for an international target group!
2. If you are working with mixed groups, we recommend that you store all possible solutions (also in other languages) for text tasks in the default language and do not create separate translations for the solutions.
Why?
If an English-language event is played by a German player, their answer can be taken into account if the possible solutions are already stored in the default language.
In this case, only translate the descriptive part of the task, but not the solution. This ensures that the task remains understandable for everyone and at the same time reacts flexibly to multilingualism.
With this approach, you avoid misunderstandings and ensure a smooth gaming experience for all participants, regardless of their language.
