With spot groups, you can structure the flow of your event into individual sections or stages.
For each group, you can define one or more game modes and determine whether the spots it contains can be played freely, in a predefined order, or remain hidden at first.
This allows you to create, for example, an open city rally, a guided scavenger hunt or a game flow in which content is unlocked step by step.
You can set the mode in the card header as a collective setting for all spots within that card. You can override this setting for individual spots using the dropdown menu. In this case, the card header will display “Mixed”.
Overview of the game modes #
|
open Route |
All spots in the group are visible and playable at the same time. Players can choose the order freely. |
|
guided |
Fixed order. All spots are visible, but a spot can only be played once the previous one has been completed. The game continues even if the previous answer was incorrect. |
|
hidden |
Fixed order. The next spot only appears once the previous one has been completed. The game continues even if the previous answer was incorrect. |
|
risk |
Fixed order. Upcoming spots remain hidden, and players can only continue if they solve the current spot correctly. If they fail, they cannot progress any further within this sequence. |
|
Milestone |
Stage objective: Everything that comes after the milestone in the game flow remains hidden until the milestone has been played. |
Please note: For a spot to count as Guided, Hidden, or Risk, at least two consecutive spots must always be set to the respective mode.
