The game concept
An offshore regatta that fits into any conference room
In the Atlantic Ocean Race, your teams take on the role of a sailing yacht crew. The espoto app guides them on their journey from Gran Canaria to Martinique – but the action goes far beyond the screen.
Digitally guided
Story, puzzles, clues and scoring are managed through the espoto app.
Hands-on challenges
Knots, boat building and rescue manoeuvres bring real teamwork into the game.
Racing together
All crews cross the Atlantic at the same time and compete for victory.
The game flow
26 days across the Atlantic in 90 minutes
One continuous storyline instead of a loose collection of tasks: from taking over the yacht to crossing the finish line.

The challenge mix
It takes more than great puzzle-solving skills to win
Knowledge & logic
Analyse radar data, decipher Morse code or find the right route through the harbour.
Calculating & estimating
For example, determine the actual amount of drinking water required for an Atlantic crossing.
Dexterity & hands-on skills
Tie knots, build a sailing boat or throw a life ring.
Creativity
Collaborative photo and video challenges add variety and create lasting memories.
Organisation
Completing 26 challenges within a limited time requires teams to divide responsibilities and make decisions together.
Live regatta
Watch the race unfold
During the game, the progress of all teams can be displayed on a large Atlantic Ocean map.
Every completed challenge moves the crew’s yacht closer to the finish line. This turns the score into a visible journey – and multiple teams into a real regatta.
Visible live:
Team positions · current scores · Top 3 · leaderboard · Team Spotlight · finish-line arrivals
